Privacy Policy – Vin-X Score

Vin-X Digital operates the Vin-X Score mobile application and related websites. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1) Data we collect

Account information: name, email.

School/team details & gameplay content: team/school names, fixtures, scores, timers, match events you enter.

Usage & diagnostics (non-personal): app interactions, device model/OS, performance metrics, crash reports.

Payments/ads: Not applicable. Vin-X Score currently has no in-app purchases and does not show third-party ads.

Location: we do not collect precise location.
2) How we use data

Authenticate users and provide core features (create teams, run live scoring, sync games).

Improve reliability and performance (analytics and crash diagnostics).

Communicate support and important service updates.
3) Sharing & processors
We don’t sell or rent your personal data. We use service providers to run the app:

Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore/Storage (data hosting), Analytics, Crashlytics (crash reports).
These providers process data only to deliver our services and under their terms.
4) Storage, security & transfers
Data is stored on Google Cloud/Firebase and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Data may be processed on servers outside South Africa; we rely on contractual safeguards with our providers.
5) Retention

Account & gameplay content: kept while your account is active.

Analytics/crash data: kept for a limited period to operate and improve the service.

Backups: limited-time retention after deletion for disaster recovery.
When you delete your account (see below), we delete or de-identify personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or anti-abuse reasons.
6) Children’s privacy
Vin-X Score is not directed to children under 13. Coaches/organisers should avoid entering personal data of minors beyond team/roster identifiers. If you believe we’ve collected a child’s personal data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
7) Your choices & rights

Access/Correct/Delete: You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data.

Account & data deletion: Use Profile → Settings → Delete account in-app, or visit https://www.vinx.co.za/delete-account/. We’ll verify the request and process deletion within a reasonable time.
8) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here and change the “Effective date”. For material changes, we’ll provide additional notice in-app or by email.
